Terms of Service
Last updated October 1, 2026. These terms cover the website design and hosting services provided by Sunshine State Web.
Our Service
Sunshine State Web builds, hosts, and maintains websites for small businesses, with optional add-on plans for lead follow-up and AI call answering. Pricing and billing terms are agreed with you before work begins. Your plan includes reasonable ongoing updates to keep your site accurate and current. It does not include unlimited revisions or large-scope work such as full redesigns, new pages, or content rewrites, which are quoted and billed separately.
Payment and Cancellation
Plans are billed monthly or paid annually upfront, and any one-time setup fee is agreed with you in writing before work begins.
Monthly plans can be canceled anytime. Your site stays live through the period you’ve already paid for, and there is no cancellation fee. Auto-renewal on annual plans is optional: it stays off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time.
All payments are for services rendered and are non-refundable. No partial or full refunds are issued under any circumstances.
Domains
Your domain stays in your name. If you ask us to register one for you, we register it on your behalf using the details you provide, point it at your website, and transfer it to your own registrar account once your site is ready. First-year registration is included. If the name you choose has an unusually high registration fee, we’ll tell you the exact price before buying anything, and you can pay the difference or choose another name. After the transfer, renewals and payment details are yours to manage. If you already own a domain, you stay responsible for owning and renewing it.
Your Content & Ownership
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information and photos you provide for your website. You own the specific content and business information you provide us. Sunshine State Web retains ownership of its own design templates, code, and reusable components, and may showcase completed work in its portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service means you accept the current terms.
Limitation of Liability
Sunshine State Web isn’t liable for indirect or incidental damages related to use of the website or service. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the month before the claim.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Before filing a claim, both parties agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting the other party. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
